The Games & The Ceremony
The gates open at 4pm, with the opening ceremony at around 6.45-7pm. The games commence soon after and the sports draw to a close as the sun sets over the Malvern Hills. After the fireworks, The torchlit procession is lead into the town by the stirring beats of the Coventry Corps of Drums arriving at the Town Square where we will dance the night away to the amazing sounds of Wired.

Awards
Awards will be presented throughout the evening with the last one being the Francis Burns trophy for this year’s Champion ehin-kicker. All competitors will receive an Olimpick Medal.
Music & Food
We always try to ensure that there is a wide selection of food and drink available. Likewise, each year we like to bring in as many musicians as we can to entertain throughout the games. Please note this is an alcohol-free event and none is sold on the hill, or permitted to be brought onto the hill.
The Music
Marching bands, folk duos, brass quintets, medieval minstrels, bagpipes, funksters – We love music. It has always played a huge part in this celebration and this year will be no different. Our house band will accompany the shenanigans on the hill and Wired in the Square.
The Food
Traditional British Fayre and other culinary choices are on offer on Dover's Hill, and when you return to Chipping Campden. Please note, no alcohol is permitted to be consumed on Dovers Hill, it will be on offer on your return to Chipping Campden.
Fundraising events
The games become increasingly more expensive to run year in, year out. As well as the kind volunteers that enable the games to go forward with the donation of their time, we fundraise and raise sponsorship.

Christmas Fayre
Hot Mulled Wine, santa, stalls selling Chritsmas gifts – and the Chipping Campden Christmas Light switch on – its the Christmas Fayre! Come alogn and chat with us on our stand.

Scuttlebrook Wake
Scuttlebrook Wake is an annual celebration held in Chipping Campden on the first Saturday after Whitsun (the day after the Games). It has its origins in the late 19th century and is named after the Cattle brook which flowed through Leysbourne. It is a brilliant, uplifting celebration of Spring and the perfect way to spend a day after the exertions of the night before.

Friends of the games
The Cotswold Olimpicks is funded by gate receipts and the generous donations from the local and wider communities. When the games were first held in 1612, £10,000 was spent on creating the spectacle we know and love – that’s roughly £1.2m in today’s money. Fortunately we’ve managed to reduce that considerably but we still need around £25,000 a year to stage the games. If you or your company would like to help, or get involved, please talk to us about how you can make a lasting impact to one of the country’s most important historic sporting events.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and Olimpick community, and their dedication and service are greatly appreciated. It is important to recognize the efforts of volunteers and to show them respect and appreciation for the work they do and we ask that all visitors to the games do this too.
